Amla-Indian gooseberry

  •                                                    Amla or Indian gooseberry is the main ingredient of many Ayurvedic formulations.It is a rich source of vitaminC and is a very powerful antioxidant.Amla rejuvenates the body,lowers bad cholesterol LDL and elevates good cholesterol HDL.Fresh juice of Amla is rich in Iron and is an instant energy drink.Amla powder is used to cure acidity,rheumatism,hairloss and premature greying.This wonderful berry provides immunity and improves eyesight.
             How to use Amla
  • Take 4 fresh gooseberries ,add water and extract juice.Add 3 tablespoons of honey.Have this instant energy drink and you will be energetic for the entire day.Have it daily and you will own thick lustrous hair too.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of fresh Amla paste with half tablespoon fresh turmeric paste and have this early morning in empty stomach.Sounds difficult,but the results are amazing in early stages of Diabetes.
  • Have 1 teaspoon of Amla powder with honey at bedtime to improve your eyesight.
  • Boil 100 gm of dry Amla in 3 litres water .Strain and cool.Use this to wash your hair daily.It is very good for your hair.The same mixture can be added to bathing water to soothe skin rashes due to excess heat.
  • Try this if you are stressed and is tired of  spending sleepless nights.Soak 100gm dried amla(seedless) in curd overnight and make a paste next morning.Use this just the way you would apply a hairpack on head.Let it remain for 1 hour and then washoff.Goodnight!
